Data Governance at KSU is Important! In 2009, KSU launched its
first data governance initiative designed to focus on data quality, integrity, integration
and monitoring of institutional data. Although the data governance initiative is
lead by the Chief Information Officer, it depends on leadership and participation
from all campus divisions. Given that Kennesaw State University is the owner of
all institutional data and databases, KSU's data governance structure identifies
key groups of people who serve in various capacities to support the data governance
initiative. Key data governance groups include Data Trustees, Metadata Stewards,
Data Stewards and Data Managers and Data Users. To learn more, please review the
KSU Data Governance
Structure.
